Needelefelt: Dark office hallways emerge before my mind’s eye. Practical, long-lasting and boring. But far from it! Put to shame, I discard my prejudice and am gladly open to conviction. The Findeisen company in Baden Württemberg is producing floor coverings whose textures are surprisingly soft, some even shine in trendy bright colours and many have received design awards. In addition Findeisen is also a pioneer when it comes to recycling. Already since the 1970s, the backings consist 110 percent of recycled fibres! One whole collection is even mainly made from renewable materials.

A factory tour of the Sattler company took us to contemplative Göppingen. Here light is created with a new dimension! Passion for technical sophistication, perfect craftsmanship and the Swabian enthusiasm for tinkering are reflected in all the details. With high-quality raw materials, large-format luminaries are designed which are reduced to what is essential – enduring LED illuminates, minimal material wear an assembly on sight further contribute to the sustainability. As a modular system, the luminaire is incredibly versatile and can be expanded as desired. Enlightenment inclusive!
